Thorncross Lake Coarse Fishery is a day ticket water at Thorncross a small peaceful
hamlet near Brighstone, on the beautiful South West side of the Isle of Wight.
The panoramic views of Limerstone Down and glimpses of the chalk cliffs beyond
Freshwater Bay make a stunning backdrop.
Thorncross Lake is a challenging water that is best suited to the more experienced
angler. It has a surface area of 2.5 acres with a maximum depth of 4.5 metres.
Open seasonally April to November from dawn until dusk. The lake is currently
stocked with carp (to 23lbs) rudd and roach.

There is portaloo on site to serve basic toilet facilities.
As with all fisheries, the health and well being of the fish stock is our priority and we expect all anglers to fully
comply with the fishery rules displayed at the entrance.The most important of these are:-
All fish to be returned A.S.A.P.
No keep nets or carp sacks
Anglers must possess and use unhooking mats and landing nets
Barbless hooks only
No fixed leads
No discarded line
No nuts or beans
Maximum of 3 rods only -no unattended rods
All anglers must have a valid E.A. Rod Licence
Under 15's to be accompanied by an adult
Day tickets costing £10 per angler per day can be purchased on the bankside.
